David Babich Studio Acting Class Subscription Terms
revised March 4th, 2026
Subscription Definitions and Rules
When you join the acting class at David Babich Studio, you sign up for a monthly subscription.
Your subscription begins on the date of your signup and continues for one month from that date. For example, if you sign up on June sixteenth, your subscription will cover classes from June sixteenth to July fifteenth, and your next payment will be due on July sixteenth.
Each subscription month will generally include either four or five classes, depending on the calendar. Regardless of the number of classes you attend in a month, the subscription fee remains the same.
We encourage students to sign up at least three days before their first class to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Commitment
Although not required, we encourage at least a 6-month devotion to your craft. If you are just starting as an actor, we recommend putting your sights on 1-2 years of regular training. Beyond that, the most serious actors will re-visit various techniques and approaches throughout their entire careers, often through multiple methods and approaches.
No Refund Policy
All subscription payments are final. David Babich Studio does not offer refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, for missed classes, schedule changes, or cancellations initiated by the student. Your subscription guarantees your spot in class for the subscription period, regardless of attendance. If you need to cancel your subscription, you may do so before your next billing cycle to avoid future charges.
Subscription Cancellation Guidelines
If you need to cancel your subscription, Please notify the studio via email at studio@davidbabich.com at least SEVEN DAYS PRIOR to the end of your current subscription period.
It is your responsibility to cancel through your account on our website or notify the studio before your next charge date. Please take note of what calendar date your subscription recurs on.
Canceling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any unused classes during the current subscription period.
You are welcome to re-join at any time!! Please note that if re-joining, the rates may have increased since your last membership.
Resources
As a valued member acting class at David Babich Studio, you'll have access to additional resources designed to enhance your experience. These may include motivational and inspirational video content, as well as a curated reading list to support your growth as an actor. These resources are provided to enrich your journey but are offered as additional perks without any monetary value. If, for some reason, a resource is not delivered on time, there will be no compensation or partial refund available.
Class Footage
We periodically film practice auditions and we do “workshop shoots” for work on on-camera technique, continuity, and camera awareness. Footage of this work is provided in a shared class drive. This footage, and scene-edits are provided as additional perks with no monetary value. If for some reason footage is lost, damage or undelivered in a timely manner, David Babich Studio is not responsible for its recovery.
* Mock audition scripts/sides are often copyrighted and are only for class practice purpose. Footage of mock auditions shall not be distributed or posted for any reason.
Edited workshop scenes may only be posted if the title of the work is credited and it is listed as a “workshop shoot”. For example - if we film a scene from Thelma and Louise and you wish to post it on social media, actors access etc, this is legal IF you credit the post in the following way: “This is a workshop scene from Thelma and Louise. For education and demo purposes only.”
Attendance and Participation
Regular attendance is encouraged to make the most out of the acting class experience at David Babich Studio. We understand that life happens, so if you're unable to attend a class, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to your absence whenever possible so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.
On-Time: Students are expected to be on-time for class, barring emergencies or industry-work related conflicts. Our group voice and speech warm up begins AT 7PM. Please find parking early and arrive prior to 7pm.
Make-up Sessions
We understand that you may occasionally miss a class due to unforeseen circumstances.
There are two types of absences - "Qualifying” and “Non-Qualifying”.
QUALIFYING ABSENCES: Entertainment-Industry-related Work or Real-Time Audition (not Self Tape or Preparation), Illness, or Mental Health Crisis.
Examples of NON-QUALIFYING ABSENCES include: Other plans, travel, friends in town, concert tickets, not feeling like going to class, bad weather, too much traffic etc…
Makeups are not provided for non-qualifying absences.
TO MAKE UP A CLASS FOR A QUALIFYING ABSENCE: If you have a qualifying absence, you are welcome to be part of the other weekly class (North Hollywood or Hollywood) for either the week of you absence OR the week after. For instance, if you are sick for your Wednesday night class in NOHO, you can attend the following Tuesday in Hollywood, and your regular Wednesday class that week. MAKEUPS MAY NOT BE USED BEYOND THE WEEK AFTER THE QUALIFYING ABSENCE.
Conduct
To ensure a positive and respectful learning environment, students are expected to conduct themselves professionally during class. We try to emulate a working professional situation. This includes respecting classmates, following the instructor's guidance, and maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
Students should not give direction and / or pointers to other students or scene partners.
Any physical contact during exercises or scene work should only occur with mutual consent and as directed by the instructor or choreographer if applicable. This helps create a safe and comfortable space for everyone.
Class Format Changes
In certain situations, such as teacher sickness, travel, or other unforeseen events, a class may be switched to a Zoom format on that night. This ensures that classes can continue uninterrupted, even when in-person sessions are not possible. Students will be notified in advance if a class will take place on Zoom instead of in person.
Substitute Teachers or Canceled Class
In the event that David Babich is unavailable, a substitute teacher may conduct the class. This ensures that classes continue as scheduled and students receive the full benefit of their subscription. The substitute teacher will follow the same curriculum and maintain the same class standards.
If a class is outright canceled by the studio, the student will receive a refund for the value of the missed class.
Primary Location
The standard class membership provides for one class per week at (1) location, EITHER Hollywood on Tuesday nights, OR North Hollywood on Wednesday nights, with the exception of the occasional make-ups as mentioned above.
2nd Class Add-On
If you wish to attend BOTH class nights, you would only pay an additional $75.00 per month. (Please note - there are no makeups provided with this deal. )
Rental Spaces
The spaces we use for class are rental spaces and are subject to change. “Upstairs at El Centro” and “The Emerson” are also used for theater productions, and with that, it is possible that from time to time we would have to re-locate to another space on a given tech rehearsal night.
Acknowledgment
By enrolling in the acting class at David Babich Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this document. Your subscription enrollment serves as your agreement to abide by these terms.
