David Babich Studio Acting Class Subscription Terms

Revised July 7th, 2026

Subscription Definitions and Rules

When you join the acting class at David Babich Studio, you sign up for a monthly subscription.

Your subscription begins on the date of your signup and continues for one month from that date. For example, if you sign up on June 16, your subscription will cover classes from June 16 through July 15, and your next payment will be due on July 16.

Each subscription month will include either four or five classes, depending on the calendar. Regardless of the number of classes you attend in a month, the subscription fee remains the same.

We encourage students to sign up at least three days before their first class to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

It is your responsibility to take note of your subscription beginning date and plan for recurring payments on that exact date every month until cancellation.

Commitment

Although not required, we encourage at least a 6-month commitment to your craft. If you are just starting as an actor, we recommend setting your sights on 1-2 years of regular training. Beyond that, the most serious actors revisit various techniques and approaches throughout their careers, often through multiple methods and approaches.

No Refund Policy and Limited Exceptions

All subscription payments are final, except for the limited exceptions expressly stated in these terms below.

David Babich Studio does not offer refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, for missed classes, student schedule changes, or cancellations initiated by the student outside of the stated cancellation and planned extended absence guidelines. Your subscription guarantees your spot in class for the subscription period, regardless of attendance.

If you need to cancel your subscription, you may do so before your next billing cycle to avoid future charges, subject to the cancellation guidelines below.

Subscription Cancellation Guidelines

If you need to cancel your subscription, please notify the studio by email at studio@davidbabich.comat least seven days before the end of your current subscription period.

It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription through your account on our website. If you experience any technical issues, please notify the studio at studio@davidbabich.com.

Please take note of the calendar date on which your subscription renews each month.

Canceling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any unused classes during the current subscription period, except as otherwise stated in these terms.

You are welcome to rejoin at any time. Please note that rates may have increased since your previous membership.

Resources

As a valued member of the acting class at David Babich Studio, you may have access to additional resources designed to enhance your experience. These may include motivational and inspirational video content, as well as a curated reading list to support your growth as an actor.

These resources are provided as additional perks to enrich your journey and have no monetary value. If, for any reason, a resource is not delivered on time, no compensation or partial refund will be provided.

Class Footage

We periodically film practice auditions and may also conduct “workshop shoots” to train on-camera technique, continuity, and camera awareness. Footage from this work may be provided in a shared class drive. This footage and any scene edits are provided as additional perks and have no monetary value. If, for any reason, footage is lost, damaged, or not delivered in a timely manner, David Babich Studio is not responsible for its recovery.

Film and Sound Quality / Expectations

This is not a “reel class.” While David takes pride in shooting high-quality footage, the shoots we do in class are fast-paced and are intended solely for training purposes. Many students may end up with usable or even strong footage for promotional purposes, but we cannot accommodate special requests, additional angles, or extra time to create a high-quality reel product during class.

Mock audition scripts and sides are often copyrighted and are for class practice purposes only. Footage of mock auditions may not be distributed or posted for any reason.

Edited workshop scenes may only be posted if the title of the work is credited, the footage is clearly listed as a “workshop shoot,” and posting is permitted by any applicable rights restrictions. For example, if we film a scene from Thelma & Louise and you wish to post it on social media or Actors Access, the post should be credited as follows: “Thelma & Louise” - workshop shoot.

Attendance and Participation

Regular attendance is encouraged to make the most out of the acting class experience at David Babich Studio. We understand that life happens, so if you are unable to attend a class, please notify us at least 48 hours before your absence whenever possible so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.

On Time

Students are expected to be on time for class, barring emergencies or industry-work-related conflicts. Our group voice and speech warm-up begins at 7:00 PM. Please find parking early and arrive prior to 7:00 PM.

Make-Up Classes

There are no make-up classes for missed classes, but please reach out to your scene partner or classmates for updates. If needed, David is happy to jump on a short call to answer your questions and make sure you are caught up.

Planned Extended Absence

If you have a planned absence of two classes in a row or more, you may receive a refund for the time you are away from class. To be eligible for a refund, your request must be received at least eight days before the first class you will miss. This means your request must be received by the day before the class immediately prior to your absence.

To clarify: you are only eligible for a refund for a planned extended absence if you give notice at least FOURTEEN DAYS before the first class you will miss. For example, if you will be in Vienna from August 3-17, 2026, you would miss class on August 5 and August 12. If you give notice to the studio by July 22nd, 2026, which is 14 days before your first absence on August 3rd, you will receive a refund for 50% of your monthly membership.

For refund calculation purposes, each missed class is valued at one-quarter (1/4) of the full monthly membership fee, regardless of whether your subscription period includes four or five scheduled classes. Refunds for planned extended absences are capped at four classes. If you miss five classes and there are five scheduled classes in that subscription period, you may receive a 100% refund for that period, provided the required notice was given.

Refunds will not be issued until a new payment cycle begins. For example, if you are auto-billed on August 11, you will receive a refund shortly after that payment has been debited.

Conduct

To ensure a positive and respectful learning environment, students are expected to conduct themselves professionally during class. We try to emulate a working professional situation. This includes respecting classmates, following the instructor’s guidance, and maintaining a supportive atmosphere.

Students should not give direction and/or pointers to other students or scene partners.

Any physical contact during exercises or scene work should only occur with mutual consent and as directed by the instructor or choreographer, if applicable. This helps create a safe and comfortable space for everyone.

Class Format Changes

In certain situations, such as teacher sickness, travel, or other unforeseen events, a class may be switched to a Zoom format for that night. This ensures that classes can continue uninterrupted, even when in-person sessions are not possible. Students will be notified in advance if a class will take place on Zoom instead of in person.

Substitute Teachers or Canceled Class

In the event that David Babich is unavailable, a substitute teacher may conduct the class. This ensures that classes continue as scheduled and students receive the full benefit of their subscription. The substitute teacher will follow the same curriculum and maintain the same class standards.

If a class is outright canceled by the studio, the student will receive a refund for the value of the missed class.

Rental Spaces

The spaces we use for class are rental spaces and are subject to change. From time to time, it is possible that we may need to relocate to another space.

Acknowledgment

By enrolling in the acting class at David Babich Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this document. Your subscription enrollment serves as your agreement to abide by these terms.
